Charles Henry ‘Sonny’ Telban was born on May 26, 1933 in Hackett, Pennsylvania.
Charles married Mary Ellen Bornfhoft Hawk on December 15, 1972 in DuBois, Pennsylvania. Mary Ellen was born October 11, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mary Ellen had a first marriage to Forest Charles Owens and they had two children Forest Chester Owens and Gary Owens.
Charles and Mary Ellen have no children.
He graduated from Peters Twp. High School, McMurray, Pennsylvania were he was Valedictorian of his class. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Returning home he attended Penn State University, McKeesport Campus, majoring in Industrial Electricity (Electrical Technology) gradating in June 1963. Since returning from the Army, he has been employed as an Electrical foreman and Estimator. He and Mary Ellen were married at Reynoldsdale, PA. From a former marriage, Mary Ellen has two sons Forest (Woody) and Gary Owens. She was previously employed with Jackson China Co, Falls Creek, PA. Sonny served as the President of the Hackett Slovenia Club.

Charles Telban Communion 
Charles enlisted into the Army and was in the 21st Chemical Decon Co in Korea. On August 12, 1954 Charles was promoted to Corporal. He was honorably discharged on May 31, 1961. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal.









Charles ‘Sonny’ loved to hunt and took many trips out west each year.
