Marija ‘Mary’ Malnerie was born April 24, 1864 in Ursna, Austria. She died June 15, 1943 in Hackett, Pennsylvania at the family farm. She married John William Telban, Sr on October 9, 1892. You can see on the picture above her last name is different. She was born Marija Malnerie and when she came to America she went by Mary Malnerich. Her two brothers also came over to live with them on the family farm in Hackett. Her two brothers are Anton Malnerich and John Malnerich. Anton was a widow with 2 children, family stories say that Anton showed up at the house with his son and daughter in a basket. Grandmother Mary was said to have rasied the children. I was told she was a wonderful lady and helped everyone. Her other brother John never married and lived with her family until he died at the age of 76 years old.
